The Philosophy behind the
Bach Flower Remedies
Dr Bach’s philosophy is as simple as it is profound. He carried an innate understanding that life on the physical plane of existence is intended to be a conscious partnership between the personality aspect of ourselves and the part that is eternally connected to our Creator – the Soul. This is the message of all the great Sages and Masters of the past. It is the unchanging truth of the Universe and one that we still collectively need to remember in order for us to be able to bring our world and ourselves into balance and harmony. All Dr Bach’s work is based on this truth and we hear it echoed over and over again throughout his writings as he seeks to remind us of this knowledge that we all carry deep within us. Dr Bach saw his 38 Remedies as tools that would help us to rise above the limited vision that we carry at a personality level and connect us with the true Essence of ourselves.
In his own words;
“The action of these remedies is to raise our vibrations and open up our channels for the reception of our Spiritual Self, to flood our natures with the particular virtue we need, and wash out from us the fault which is causing harm. They are able, like beautiful music, or any gloriously uplifting thing which gives us inspiration, to raise our very natures, and bring us nearer to our Souls: and by that very act bring us peace and relieve our sufferings.
They cure, not by attacking disease, but by flooding our bodies with the beautiful vibrations of our Higher Nature, in the presence of which disease melts as snow in the sunshine.”
