The World Rainbow Vibrational Essence Conference – March 19th-21st 2011

The World Rainbow Vibrational Essence Conference promises to be an exciting event and a great opportunity to find out more about Vibrational and Flower, Gem & Crystal Essences from some of the worlds leading experts.

The three day conference is being organised by the British Flower & Vibrational Essence Association (BFVEA) and AS I ACT – a renowned International Charity. It aims to bring both a greater knowledge and understanding of Essences and also an opportunity to explore how we can attain greater well-being in ourselves and positive transformation in our world.

The range of speakers booked for the conference bring with them a vast depth of expertise and knowledge in the field of Essences and include Essence producers, practitioners and other leading figures from the Essence world.

The conference is being held over the 2011 Spring Equinox – which should in itself be a powerful and energetic time – and is in the beautiful house and grounds of Dev Aura, the spiritual home of the Aura-Soma colour system.

The names ‘Bach’ and ‘Bach Flower Remedies’ remain generic.

Julian Barnard of Healing Herbs has been actively objecting to Nelsons’ trade marking of the name ‘Bach Flower Remedies’ and ‘Bach’ for nearly 20 years. In recent years Healing Herbs has successfully challenged the trade marks throughout the U.K. courts right up to the House of Lords, and has now successfully challenged Nelsons E.U. trademarks in the European courts as well. Congratulations to Julian Barnard and Healing Herbs!

Julian described the courts decision as "a very clear decision" which made a number of telling findings including:-

1. Both the specialised public and the general public considers the terms descriptive and generic

2. Healing Herbs had filed “abundant evidence” to show the terms were generic

3. Nelsons/BFRL failed to prove that the terms had acquired distinctive character when they filed their applications

Showing large sales and advertising expenditure was not good enough

Describing the result Julian said "We are very pleased that our proceedings have been successful; justice has again been done."

The result means that all of those many people across the European Union, who use the terms Bach and Bach Flower Remedies to describe their own or other people’s flower remedies made in accordance with the original directions of the late Dr Edward Bach can do so freely

The first ever International Bach Cromer Conference is taking place in the seaside town of Cromer in September 2006. It has been arranged as a celebration of the life of Dr Edward Bach and provides an opportunity to both review his legacy and discuss the future, and to find out more about the life and work of someone who is often known as the father of flower remedies.
The conference will bring together guest speakers who are some of the leading authorities on the life and work of Dr Edward Bach and include:- Julian Barnard, Mechthild Scheffer, Glenn Storhaug, Judy Howard, Richard Katz & Patricia Kaminski. The programme also includes films, dance, music and organized walks around Cromer. On Sunday there will also be a birthday tea in honour of what would have been Dr Bachs 120th birthday.

The conference is being held in Cromer, ( Norfolk, England.) a town where Dr Bach completed his research on the 12 personality types and made 9 of the first 19 remedies.
