As we move into March there is at last a sense of spring in the air here in the UK, as the increasing daylight and strengthening sun gradually warms the earth and awakens the early spring flowers from their sleep, albeit somewhat slowly.  Within each one of us the same stirrings of new energy are also beginning to be felt as we prepare for the powerful energies of the vernal equinox later in the month. Of course for our friends in the southern hemisphere this same space of time is one of moving into autumn and preparing for the introspection of winter. Whichever hemisphere we happen to be in, the equinox on March 20th (17.32 UT) will bring us that biannual moment of balance in which day and night, light and dark are as close to being equal across all parts of the globe as they ever get, serving as a reminder to us of the need to bring balance to our own inner polarities.

We are also aware as we write this that many across the world are again experiencing great trauma and upset most particularly in the earthquake hit areas of Chile but also in western Europe where storms have ravaged many areas. Our hearts go out to all our brothers and sisters who have been affected by these difficult and challenging situations and we continue to hold you within the focussed embrace of our light and love.

March Energetics

During most of the month of March we come under the prevailing influence of the zodiacal sign of Pisces, the last sign in the zodiacal year. Thus the month of March brings both the completion of a cycle and also the beginning of a new one. This will therefore be a month in which to choose carefully what to let go of and what to take forward with us into the new cycle.

The energy of Pisces was brought fully into focus for us by the powerful full moon of February 28th, challenging us to look beyond duality and to bring closure to the polarised aspects of ourselves that still deny their unity and wholeness. The sign that represents Pisces is that of the two fishes swimming in opposite directions, yet held together by a thread. Symbolically this sign is reminding us of the underlying unity behind the apparent duality of our everyday existence. The two fish represent the soul and its personality aspect connected together by the silver cord. It is encouraging us to remember that the personality is simply an aspect of soul sent into incarnation to gather experience and knowledge and that at some point it must choose to recognise the authority of the soul as its guiding light and return to unity and wholeness. Thus under the influence of Pisces we learn to sacrifice the small self or personality in favour of the wisdom of the True Self in order to bring greater harmony and balance to both our personal and collective realities.

The energy of 333

We will be greatly helped in our quest for greater unity this month by the energies of 333 flowing in on March 3rd 2010. Triple 3 brings us the energy of the trinity, which represents the union of the divine with the human. It also carries within it the energy of 9, which represents closure of a cycle. Both these aspects are important points of focus for us this month. Once again the signals are loud and clear and we must pay attention to the fact that we are reaching the end of the cycle of duality and preparing to enter a new cycle of wholeness and unity.

The power of coherent energy

As we reflected on the underlying energies of the month and the challenges and difficulties that many are facing around the world it seems particularly important for us all to remember the power that loving coherent energy has, to calm and balance discordant energies. At a personal level, those that help us most when we are in the midst of a challenging life drama are always those that can remain emotionally detached yet lovingly available. Similarly from a global perspective we can best assist by making sure that we contribute coherent energy, in the form of focussed thought and loving intent, into the collective human energy pool. In this way we help to stabilise the collective field of energy that we all share and help others to find the inner strength and resolve to cope with the situations that they find themselves in. One powerful way that we can do this is to set aside a few moments of each day to go into our hearts and gather the energy of unconditional love and compassion, visualising it flowing out through the unified energy field to all those areas of the world where people are in need. As we join together in this process we become a powerful coherent force for good that can be used by the universal mind to create new levels of harmony and balance.

Staying emotionally balanced and connected with our own inner truth will be important for all of us this month. January can sometimes feel like a long month as we wait for the light and power of the sun to return, however this year it seems to have slipped past with an almost unseemly haste. In a few short days we will be in the month of February, which brings with it the festival of Imbolc, the Celtic fire festival that celebrates the returning of the light and the beginning of spring in this part of the world. Imbolc marks the midway point between the winter and spring equinoxes and will be celebrated this year on February 2nd in the Northern Hemisphere and August 1st in the Southern Hemisphere.

The energies of January offered us an opportunity for review and introspection. Those of February will bring the challenge to transcend our egos and to bring forth our gifts for the greater good of the whole. So as we see it the energies of February will be offering us more of those ‘opportunities for growth’ that we have all become so accustomed to these days.

February Energetics

The prevailing influence in February is of course that of the planet Aquarius. The full moon on January 30th (06.19 UT) will highlight the qualities of Aquarius and illuminate those areas of our lives where there is a need for the spiritual values of unity, sharing and universal brotherhood to take more precedence. Throughout this month we will be gifted with some very powerful planetary help that will insist that we focus our awareness on any aspect of ourselves that is not yet in alignment with our true self. One of the strongest of these influences will come from the conjunction between the planets Neptune and Chiron in Aquarius, which will be exact on February 17th. The focus of Chiron is on helping us to uncover and heal our deepest wounds while Neptune offers us an opportunity to gain clarity by lifting the veil into the non-material worlds. The influence of both together is powerful and will help us to focus deeply on what limits us, if we are willing to take up the challenge. If we resist the flow, we could find our selves stuck in the fog of Neptunian delusion, believing ourselves to be a victim of circumstance. The influence of retrograde Saturn this month will be doing its very best to ensure that we do not miss out on this opportunity for healing. Its influence will tend to highlight our fears and limitations and encourage us to take greater responsibility for any unfinished issues or incomplete projects. Under these combined influences we may well find ourselves confronted with the issue of whether we are allowing the soul or the ego to be the authoritative influence in our lives.

Making the most of our opportunities

Reflecting on all this made us aware once again of just how difficult it can sometimes feel when we are faced with that aspect of ourselves that has forgotten its wholeness, the shadow self. This month the pressure will be again be on that shadow self to yield up its secrets to the light of greater awareness. So as you go through this month remember that the issues or situations that come up for you are simply helping you to uncover parts of yourself that are seeking your attention. It can be all too easy to try to push these aspects of ourselves back into the shadows and create greater separation rather than healing if we are not awake and aware. All that is required is some loving acceptance and the willingness to feel fully what it is that is requesting help and transformation. We have found over the years that writing down what we feel at times like these can be extremely helpful. Not only does this process offer us an opportunity to fully acknowledge our feelings, it is also takes us into exactly the right meditative state to receive the insights and clarity that we need to allow transformation to take place.

Remembering the bigger picture

We were reflecting the other day on the importance of recognising just how vital each and every one of us is in the ongoing process of restoring Light and Life to our planet. Each time we consciously choose to embody the love and light of our true selves and release our old dysfunctional patterns we are contributing to the great awakening and ever growing light on our planet. In true Aquarian style this process is a giant team effort in which we must all support and help each other. It is truly humbling to realise just how much assistance we are being given from the realms of light to help us transcend what we have created through ignorance and fear to birth a new reality. In fact it is very clear that the more willing we are to take up our responsibilities as lightworkers the more help we receive and the quicker the transformation process is becoming.

In this months essence review we felt that we would like to highlight an essence combination that has the potential to offer many people valuable support.

Feeling Safe is a powerful combination of essences that can help us to recognise and transform old patterns of fear and trauma that relate to our physical safety. Now you might well be asking ‘why would I want to do this’? We fully understand that what most of us want is to forget any old traumas that might have impacted our lives and find ways to keep ourselves safe in the future. However, in our experience these old experiences sow seeds that unconsciously direct our lives and affect our ability to live life to the full until they are brought into the light of awareness.

Many people live their lives through an unconscious undercurrent of fear that leaves them prone to feeling that life is unsafe in some undefined way, or that there is ‘something dreadful just around the corner’. Quite understandably these feelings make it very difficult to trust in the flow of life or to easily embrace change of any kind.

You might well imagine that it would be reasonably easy to identify the fearful or traumatic events that have created this patterning in the first place, however this is often not the case for several reasons.

Many of our most unconscious patterns are those that are handed on to us by our parents or primary care givers while we are very young. Often they are a part of the inheritance passed on to us through our genetic line. Also as young children we absorb information, feelings and beliefs straight into our unconscious mind without the ability to filter it that we develop in later life. Once we have collected the imprint in this way it is very easy for even the seemingly ordinary events of life to reinforce our inherited fears and establish them as ‘truths’ that we carry forward unconsciously into later life and of course pass on in our turn.

If we take this a step further we can see that it is unlikely that any of our ancestors have escaped experiencing some of the more dramatic and trauma creating events that life on earth has provided us with over the centuries. So in one way or another we all carry the imprint of fear and trauma associated with wars, violent abuse and natural disasters. It is not an uncommon experience for young children to be terrified of war, earthquakes, hurricanes, fires etc when they have absolutely no experience of these things at all. This is our collective imprinting system at work.

If you are strongly affected by this pattern you may find yourself easily triggered by such events as the recent earthquake in Haiti or the ever-present images of war on almost every news bulletin on our televisions these days. Perhaps we should make it clear here that there is a difference between the natural sensitivity that we all have to the suffering of others in such situations and the uncomfortable echoes of past fears trying to get our attention. However, the difficulty for many is that often these feelings become confused and we fail to recognise what is our own. Until we have released the old fears that still vibrate in our energy field it is all too easy for us to find ourselves resonating with the collective emotional body of humanity which still contains much fear in its data bank.

So during this month of wintry introspection we encourage you to reflect a little on your early childhood feelings, general family patterns and what triggers feelings of ‘unsafeness’ in your life now. The Feeling Safe combination will help you to gently release and transform any old energies of fear and trauma that come into your awareness as a result, leaving you feeling stronger and more connected with your true self.

Happy New Year and welcome to the January edition of Elight. 2010 has certainly opened on a wintry note, at least for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere where we are experiencing some of the lowest temperatures and the greatest accumulations of snow that we have had for a very long time. We were reflecting the other day how being in the midst of this great freeze is rather like being held in suspended animation. Everything tends to slow down and we get the opportunity to examine the details of life to a greater extent than would be the case normally. In other words another opportunity for enhanced introspection!

January Energetics

The theme of inner introspection will be an important one for all of us during the first two weeks of January this year. The powerful energies of the last full moon of 2009 on December 31st instigated a period of inner introspection and self-examination that is currently offering us the opportunity to get clarity on our focus and intention for the coming year before the first new moon of 2010 on January 15th.

To us it feels that 2010 will be a year of new choices and opportunities and that it is therefore particularly important that we each use this time to feel into our hearts and discover the direction and focus that our soul wishes us to take over the coming year. We will be greatly assisted in this process by a period of retrograde Mercury, which began on December 26th and will continue until Mercury goes direct again on January 15th. While such periods can have a disruptive effect in the outer world of communications they also greatly enhance our ability for introspection and inner communication. There is always a silver lining to all apparently black clouds!

The combination of the new moon and solar eclipse on January 15th will provide us with a particularly powerful moment in which to sow the seeds of our new focus and intention for the coming year. It will be a wonderful moment to set a vibrational alignment that will help to bring towards us all that we will need in order to accomplish what we have so carefully chosen.

Vibrational Alignment

The correct vibrational alignment is crucial in the manifestation of any intention or goal since it is our personal vibrational frequency that calls forth the creative forces of the Universe and determines what we can and cannot manifest at any given moment. We were reflecting on this the other day and recognising that lack of real understanding about this is still the source of much frustration for many people. There are two issues that seem important to mention here. One is the need for recognition of the power that our unconscious patterning can have to over ride positive goals and intentions. The other is the need for conscious alignment with the purpose that our soul holds for us in each incarnation.

These first two weeks of January offer us all a wonderful opportunity to examine carefully whether we are actually vibrationally aligned with the focus and intention that we have set ourselves for the year ahead. Take some time to feel into your heart and to really connect with the promptings coming from your soul. As you do this allow the feeling of what it will be like to create this in your life to come forward as strongly as you can. In this way you are creating a vibrational alignment with what you are calling forth. Keep energising this feeling every day, pulling yourself more and more into alignment with what you wish to manifest. This process will also trigger any unconscious patterns that you hold, such as fear, doubt or lack of confidence, that are vibrationally not in alignment with your focus and intention for the year. It is important to accept and own these old emotions and beliefs because they all represent fragmented aspects of yourself that require healing in order for the vibrational alignment with your manifestation to be secure.

Vibrational essences are of course a wonderful way to work on old unconscious patterns and the fragmented parts of yourself that are in need of love and reintegration. The correct essence combination can very quickly adjust your vibrational frequency and help you to recognise any issues that are blocking your way forward.

Fear is perhaps the most potent energy that we all carry and the one that will most quickly pull us out of a positive vibrational alignment, so lets start with some reminders of essences to help transform our fears. For many people fear and anxiety is an undercurrent emotion that runs through all of their life experiences, often quite unconsciously. Obviously the more conscious you can become of how this energy affects your life the easier it will be to recognise and change its hold over you. Fear is also stored in the base chakra where it contributes to feelings of anxiety and fear around survival and prevents us from being fully grounded and present in our lives. Doubt and lack of self-value, as well as lack of self-confidence will also seriously affect our ability to follow through with new goals and intentions. In our experience criticism and judgement, particularly when turned against ourselves, can be extremely disrupting energies. Inner Freedom is a combination that many people simply look past because they do not see themselves as having major issues with judgement, criticism or intolerance. We are all so programmed with polarity thinking that everything can so easily become divided into ‘good’ & ‘bad’ ‘acceptable’ or ‘unacceptable’ etc, if we do not really keep our attention on what happens in our thoughts. It seems possible that when we really choose to look within we may all find subtle or possibly not so subtle manifestations of this legacy of polarity consciousness that could do with some transformational help. One very debilitating example is that of the unending ‘inner critic’ that so many of us live with at an almost unconscious level of awareness. Maybe we have a tendency to judge the day before us by the quality of the weather when we awake in the morning. Perhaps we might find that we are holding on to some rather fixed views about what is ‘right’ in some aspect of our lives or feeling somewhat intolerant of the way those elected to govern us are behaving. The list could go on but we are sure you get the picture!

This month we would like to encourage you to examine your own subtle versions of this pattern and to invite greater freedom into your life by banishing judgement, criticism and intolerance with the support of the Inner Freedom combination.  We have found this to be an excellent combination that can gently but quickly move us into an expanded place of awareness from which we can more easily recognise and let go of old mindsets and perceptions.

Each year the month of December marks the closing of a twelve-month cycle while also providing us with the gateway into a new one. The outer cycle that is created by the passing months and seasons of the year, each with their own energetic focus and potential, mirrors the inner cycle of spiritual growth and opportunity that we are each presented with every year. So the month of December marks an important point of review and completion for all of us, both in our inner and outer worlds.

For several years now we have reached the month of December and felt that the year just completing had brought such powerful waves of change that it was hard to imagine that there could be anything left unchanged within us. However, each year we have been proved wrong, and as we look forward to the coming year there is a sense that this will again be the case as we move through the next twelve months. Although this feels challenging, there is also a sense of inner excitement and anticipation about the opportunities that the coming year will bring forward for all of us.

A Challenging Year

This year has been a year in which we have all been challenged to release the old issues, emotional attachments and redundant karmic patterns that were still undermining our ability to be our true selves. There has been a sense of urgency about this because it is now becoming increasingly important that we all stand strongly in the light, love & spiritual power of our true selves, something that can only happen when we have released the old stories that we have believed about ourselves.

Inevitably this inner change promoted a wave of change in our everyday lives as everything that had become redundant began to crumble away, leaving a space for something new to come in. Many people have experienced this process of inner and outer change this year and many more will do so over the coming twelve months. It has been a common experience for many to find themselves suddenly and somewhat unexpectedly realigned in particular areas of their lives, be it careers, relationships or the location in which they live. These waves of change have also been ricocheting through the structures and organisations of our world that are built on old paradigm beliefs, exposing areas of corruption and untruth that must be released to allow something new to take their place. It seems to us that this seemingly chaotic process of change is very likely to intensify as we move through the coming year, making it especially important that we all maintain the focus and strength of our own inner light.

Ancestral Healing

This past twelve months has certainly been a year for working on deep old issues. So much so that many have felt rather disillusioned to find themselves again facing old issues that they thought they had finished with years ago. If this has been your experience take heart because in our view this is really something to celebrate since it simply means that you are now getting to the core of the issue. Over recent months the powerful waves of energy that we have all received are washing ever deep into the cells of our bodies and into our DNA structure releasing everything that is not our true self. This has triggered a process of healing that is extending back through our ancestral lines, cleansing and releasing those patterns that we have inherited from our bloodline. This of course not only brings about change for ourselves but also for past and future family members.

December energetics

The energies of December will provide us with an ideal opportunity to integrate and consolidate all of the energies that we have been working with over the past eleven months. It certainly promises to be a very powerful month energetically and one in which nothing that is out of alignment with our truth is likely to be over looked or allowed to rest for long. This will of course come as no surprise to anyone in a month that contains two full moons, the 12 12 gateway and the winter solstice.

The first full moon of the month on December 2nd will provide a point of balance and reflection from which we will be able to more clearly discern our immediate goals. The 12 12 gateway on December 12th will bring forth a flood of high frequency energy that will help us all to consolidate the energies that we have been working with over the year, weaving them together into a new patterning from which our future will be created.

This is an extremely powerful time and it feels important for each one of us to take time to reflect on our own inner world and to assess whether there are any issues that still need our attention before the end of the month. The energies of the 12 12 gateway and the solstice on December 21st will both provide a powerful opportunity for letting go of the old. So that by the time of the last full moon of the year on December 31st we will be able to see more clearly where we are going as we move forward into a new cycle.

Our final review of the year will take place on December 31st on the inner planes as we each go before the Karmic Board in our soul consciousness to review what we have achieved spiritually and to set our intentions for the coming year.
