May Energetics and the influence of Taurus

April proved to be an intense, turbulent and often frustrating month for many as we all attempted to negotiate the complicated and sometimes conflicting flow of energies that were influencing us. As the sun moved into the more feminine earthy energies of Taurus on April 20th there was a less hectic feel to the energetic flow that was both refreshing and inspiring. In its highest form Taurean energy seeks to inspire us ‘to be in the world but not of the world’, to release our attachment to the purely physical and to use the power of our desire nature to help create heaven on earth. So the illumination that this energy brings this month will be helping us all to review where attachment and desire keep us too focussed in the material world and encouraging us to realign with the larger perspective of the soul and the divine plan.

The Wesak Festival

It is of course not a coincidence that May is the month long associated with the consummate master of detachment, Gautama Buddha the great eastern spiritual master. It is said that the Buddha was born, reached enlightenment and died under the influence of the sign of Taurus. Each year the second great spiritual festival of the year, the Festival of Wesak, is celebrated at the full moon when the sun is in Taurus, which this year is on May 5th. At the time of this full moon the Buddha, as the expression of the Wisdom of God, joins forces with the Christ who is the expression of the Love of God, to pour forth the blessings of the second Ray of Love and Wisdom in a ceremony that takes place on the etheric planes over the Wesak Valley in Tibet. This potent spiritual offering creates a free passageway of inspiring uplifting energy that irradiates the collective consciousness of humanity, strengthening the light within each one of us and carrying us towards new heights of awareness and understanding.

Changing the force of habit

Provided that we align with the highest potentials of the energies available to us this month we will find that there is huge support to birth new inspirations and creative ideas, particularly those that benefit humanity as a whole. The time around the full moon will be an especially potent time for this as the incoming flow of energy will not only bring us higher inspiration but also push us to take the actions required to ground our ideas fully into the world. So it will be particularly important that we listen carefully to the promptings of our inner being this month and follow through on what we are given. However, when we get to the point of actually stepping forward to action our new ideas and inspirations we may well find ourselves facing that uncomfortable moment of truth when we have to confront those well established habits that keep us firmly in our comfort zone. Habits, by their very nature are unconscious, something that we do without any real thought. They can also form the basis of the excuses that we use to avoid taking positive action on something. Awareness is the first step to changing the force of habit, so be very clear in your intention this month and keep your attention on your intention. If you find that you are not following through on that inspiring new idea take a moment to identify what old habit or belief pattern has become active, them move that awareness into your heart where you will be able to see more clearly that this is not your true Self. Habitual beliefs can be very deeply ingrained and in this month’s essence suggestions we have decided to focus on essences that will support the release of two of the most common of these. In our experience one of the most debilitating and ‘show stopping’ beliefs involves the habit of doubting yourself. Doubt and uncertainty often become a habitual pattern because we have not been given permission in childhood to sufficiently explore our creativity or take action on our own inner promptings about what would be good for us. In this situation we form a habit of automatically doubting ourselves and our abilities which makes it very difficult for us to feel comfortable enough to use our unique gifts and talents to birth something new into the world. Emotional Balance – Restoring Emotional Stability.

As we mentioned in last month’s essence review the major solar flare activity that we have experienced in recent months is having a distinctly disruptive effect on our own energy fields as well as those of the Earth. We dealt with the first effect of this, loss of grounding, in last month’s Essence Review and this month we will look at another related issue that is affecting many people; heightened emotional volatility.

Positive Opportunities

While there is no denying that heightened emotions can be challenging to deal with, if we look at this situation from a larger perspective there is also a very positive opportunity being presented to us here. Emotions are magnetic so as the Earth’s magnetic fields weaken it is allowing all the old emotions that have been stored in the astral plane around the Earth for aeons of time to be gradually released and cleared. As individuals we can experience this as a release of old emotional issues from our own emotional body and also as a heightened sensitivity to the collective emotional flow.

Clearly the stronger our own emotional foundations are the easier it will be for us to stay emotionally balanced and detached as these changes take place. However we are aware that many people are finding this quite a challenge to achieve in the current energy flow, either because they have a strongly emotional bias in their personality or they are particularly sensitive to the collective emotional field. The energy line up for April is potent with powerful transformational opportunity to say the least. The sun’s movement into Aries on March 19th signalled the beginning of a new astrological year and also a new cycle of opportunity. The fiery, initiating energy of Aries stimulates regeneration and renewal in all areas of life, both spiritually and physically. We normally experience this as a powerful burst of new energy that sweeps us forward to begin new projects or make new beginnings. However as the sun moved into Aries this year we were still under the influence of several powerful retrograde planets holding us in review and reassessment mode and insisting that we make a final clearance of any unfinished business before we move forward. We have all been registering this push/pull of energies with discomfort and internal pressure as we feel the Aries push to move forward while still lacking the necessary clarity of direction to do so. Birthing a new consciousness

Aries is associated with the first ray of creation and the power of the higher mind and as such is often considered to be the ‘birthplace of ideas’. In this extraordinary year of 2012 the ‘ideas’ that we as a collective are being asked to birth are going to take us forward into a completely different expression of life. We invite you to take a few moments to really allow that concept to soak into your unconscious and to consider what it would mean if you and everyone else in the world lived this as a truth. There is no doubt in our minds that when enough of us really get this, change will be rapid, dramatic and permanent! Base Chakra – Grounding

The aptly named base or root chakra is the etheric energy centre at the base of the spine. When it is functioning well it acts as an anchor point or grounding mechanism for our whole energetic system, which in turn provides the impetus for the necessary stability and balance in our everyday lives.

Strengthening the Base Chakra

Strengthening the ability of the base chakra to function as fully as possible is clearly a particularly important issue for all of us right now. No part of our energetic system can function as an isolated unit and the base chakra is no exception. Inner Calm – Transforming Fear

For this month’s essence review we have decided to highlight a combination that has proved helpful for many people over the years and which deals with an issue that is currently very pertinent for all of us.

Fear is an emotion that is deeply woven into the fabric of our collective human consciousness. It has become so much a part of our daily life that we now hardly recognise the hold that it can have upon us. The powerful controlling force of fear is utilised daily in our news media and underpins much of our entertainment and advertising industries, as well as being an important aspect of almost every world religion. These outer manifestations of our relationship with fear are indicative of a much deeper unconscious patterning that all of humanity and the Earth herself share.

Catastrophe Consciousness

This patterning has been called ‘catastrophe consciousness’ and its origin lies in the long forgotten and as yet unreleased trauma created by the catastrophic break up of the continent of Atlantis, 11,500 years ago. This is a potent, unconscious memory that we all share and one that is currently filtering into our consciousness to be cleared, as we transition into a new vibrational template for life on our planet. As it does so it is creating a sense of unease and fearfulness within many people that is currently manifesting as a deep concern about what might happen as 2012 draws to an end. As we write this we are at the beginning of February and shivering in the grip of the blast of arctic cold which the second month of the year so often brings with it in the northern hemisphere. It certainly seems to bear out the old country saying that ‘as the light lengthens, so the cold strengthens’.

The potent effect of solar flare activity

January was certainly a potent and powerful month energetically and one that brought forth opportunity and challenge in full measure. Many people have found themselves facing new levels of clearing, with old emotional patterns and relationship issues being particularly highlighted. The intensity of this clearing has a relationship to the greatly increased level of solar flare activity that we experienced during January because as this energy reaches the earth it affects the earth’s magnetic fields and our emotional bodies along with it. This is basically a very positive process that is helping to clear away what no longer serves us, however it can become a challenge if we do not recognise that it is leaving and simply detach and let go.

The Aquarian dynamic

During February we come under the influence of the constellation of Aquarius, represented by the symbol of the water bearer. Although this energy is magnified while the sun is in Aquarius, it is also a consistent and potent force that will continue to influence us for the next 2000 years as we move through the Age of Aquarius. The airy and expansive energies of Aquarius stimulate the awakening of higher consciousness and bring to the fore the spiritual values of unity, sharing and brotherhood, humanitarian principles that will eventually result in the creation of those things that are for the collective good of humanity as a whole.

So this month we can expect to find ourselves becoming more aware of how well we are aligned with Aquarian principles in our current thoughts and beliefs and being prompted to make changes where necessary. With both Mars and Saturn retrograde throughout this month we will also find ourselves in a period of review and reassessment of both our work and relationship situations.

Our Changing Relationship with Time.

We have been pondering recently why so many people seem to be experiencing a loss of direction in their lives, often characterised by a sense of disorientation and inability to move forward, especially over recent months. It came to us that this has to do with our changing relationship with time so we decided to share our thoughts with you in case they are in anyway helpful. As we see it we have recently moved into an even more accelerated period of change in which our emotional and mental bodies are being gradually altered by the influx of high frequency energies pouring onto the planet. As we all know, this has had the effect of releasing many of the deep old patterns of behaviour which have been our reference points in third dimensional reality. These reference points are also what have held us into the third dimensional time structure of past and future. As they dissolve we have a much greater access to present time but as yet, lack the focus and awareness to engage with the creative potential available to us when we are in present time.

Present time waits for our command

Literally present time waits for our creative command but we have become so used to riding up and down on the seesaw of past-future time that we have forgotten this, so disorientation and loss of direction become our experience. Past – future time as experienced in the third dimension is directly related to the rational mind, whereas present time connects us with the guidance of the higher mind through the heart. The information that we need to redirect our lives is available to us in present time if we focus on connecting with it and recognise that the information that we receive may not necessarily seem logical to the rational mind even though it registers as truth in our hearts. The enhanced Aquarian influence this month will tend to make this expansion of consciousness into the higher mind very available to us so lets make the most of this opportunity to move into the driving seat of our lives.
