May Energetics

The prevailing planetary influence for a large part of May comes to us from the constellation of Taurus, represented astrologically by the sign of the bull. The earthy, feminine energies of Taurus bring forward the forces of enlightenment and the principle of illumination.  They speak to us of the need to learn ‘to be in the world but not of the world’, to release our attachment to the purely physical and to cultivate the power of our desire nature to help create a better world for all.  Desire in all its forms can be particularly activated under the influence of Taurus so this month we may well find ourselves needing to review any areas of life where attachment and desire hold us focussed on the material plane so that we can stay aligned with the larger perspective of the soul and the divine plan.

The energy this month is also going to be very much influenced by the disruptive effects of a challenging aspect between the two planetary giants, Uranus and Pluto, which will be particularly potent on May 20th. Unpredictable and erratic Uranus brings change, revolution and awareness, while Pluto fosters destruction, transformation and renewal. As these two potent forces square each other in the heavens we are likely to find ourselves once again embroiled in the challenging chaos that large-scale change tends to generate in our world.

Listening to the Wisdom of the Heart

As we reflect upon this it seems to us that it will be particularly important that we cultivate detachment this month and remember to view whatever might transpire as an opportunity to let go of what is no longer of value so that regeneration and renewal can take place. May is a month in which the spiritual energies of Love and Wisdom are especially abundant in their availability. When we make the conscious choice to be receptive to these positive and expansive vibrations simply by opening our awareness to their presence, the knowing of what to release and how to move forward becomes very clear. However, this clarity and vision is to be found only in the stillness of the heart. If we allow ourselves to follow the well-worn habit of consulting the lower mind for its opinion the story we get will be very different, one that is inevitably based on the past, projected into the future. We then become rather like a radio that is only capable of receiving programs from a very limited bandwidth. Other possibilities are out there in the ethers but we do not connect with them because our receiving mechanism is either permanently or temporarily switched off. So as we see it, it will be important this month that we each choose to stay very firmly connected to the wisdom of our hearts, clear in our choices and fully aware that by choosing to broadcast positive, uplifting vibrations not only will we attract joy and fulfilment into our own lives we will also be holding a vibration that will assist the collective to hold steady through the very necessary process of change.

To be fully comfortable with this however, we may well find that we first need to release ourselves from the collective belief that our safety lies in conformity to what the outer world dictates as ‘truth’. For most of us this has created an insidious and often unconscious pattern of allowing events in our outer world to influence our actions and decisions in order that we feel safe and appear to ‘fit in’. However if we are to actively follow the wisdom of our hearts we must be able to operate comfortably in our own unique, creative flow without feeling the need to compromise. For many the discrepancy in vibration between the old habit of conformity and the inner knowing in the heart is becoming increasingly obvious as well as uncomfortable, so with this in mind we thought we would highlight some essences this month that might provide support in this situation.

Firstly lets look at the issue of creativity, an essential component in living fully in our own truth yet still a difficult issue for many.  The norm for most of us growing up was that we were told what to do and actively dissuaded from exploring our own creative abilities, with the result that we simply shut off much of our creative flow. It is very important that we now reconnect with our creativity because we cannot fully follow the promptings of our hearts without using it. So for anyone wishing to free up creative expression this month we suggest a large bottle of our deep acting essence combination Creativity restoring individuality.

Doubt and uncertainty are two issues that can very effectively block our ability to hear our own inner wisdom. ‘I am not sure’, or ‘what if I get it wrong’ are common excuses we make to ourselves for not listening to our heart and taking the necessary actions to move forward. In this months essence review we felt that we would like to highlight an essence combination that might be of particular help to many people right now.

Now you might well be asking ‘why would I want to do this’? Many of our most unconscious patterns are those that are handed on to us by our parents or primary care givers while we are very young. Often they are a part of the inheritance passed on to us through our genetic line. Also as young children we absorb information, feelings and beliefs straight into our unconscious mind without the ability to filter it that we develop in later life. Once we have collected the imprint in this way it is very easy for even the seemingly ordinary events of life to reinforce our inherited fears and establish them as ‘truths’ that we then carry forward unconsciously into later life and of course pass on in our turn.

If we take this a step further we can see that it is unlikely that any of our ancestors have escaped experiencing some of the more dramatic and trauma-creating events that life on earth has provided us with over the centuries. So in one way or another we all carry the imprint of fear and trauma associated with wars, violent abuse and natural disasters. It is not an uncommon experience for young children to be terrified of war, earthquakes, hurricanes, fires etc when they have absolutely no experience of these things at all. This is our collective imprinting system at work.

In the energy flow we are now experiencing on our planet many of these old patterns are currently being brought strongly into our awareness for release and transformation. This is of course a very positive process but can feel a little uncomfortable until we consciously recognise that this is what is actually happening. It is also important to keep in mind that until we have released any old fears that still vibrate in our own energy field it is all too easy for us to find ourselves resonating with the collective emotional body of humanity which still contains much fear in its data bank.

The influence of Aries

The prevailing planetary influence for most of April comes to us from the constellation of Aries. The fiery, initiating qualities of Aries energy stimulates regeneration and renewal in all areas of life, both spiritually and physically. As the first sign in the zodiac the movement of the sun into Aries also marks the beginning of a new astrological year, again highlighting the opportunity for new beginnings. This year there is a particularly potent gathering of planets joining the sun in Aries during the first weeks of April, so we are unlikely to be able to ignore the powerful force of Aries energy pushing us forward in some area of our lives this month.

Aries energy is wonderful, creative energy that we can use to initiate or enhance projects but it can feel a little overpowering if we have not got clarity on the direction we wish our lives to go in. This is an issue for many right now because the energies post 21st December 2012 are offering us a freedom of choice that we have yet to recognise and utilise fully. In this space we are the creators and must learn to shape the opportunities according to our hearts desire rather than relying on the old programs that no longer work.

The Opportunity in Aries

Often described as the ‘birthplace of ideas’, Aries focuses the flow of energy from the higher mind, the mind of the Creator, and will bring into greater awareness any issues associated with how we choose to use the powerful medium of thought. Any creation, wanted or unwanted, is initiated through the power of thought whether consciously or unconsciously. In the focussed flow of Aries energy this month we will be stimulated to align with the evolutionary thought forms of the collective higher mind so that we are contributing to the co creation of a new collective reality. So this could be a month of great clarity and direction if we can stay out of the everyday mind with its conditioned responses and linking emotional issues. However, this may require some focus and attention because of course Arian energies will also tend to stimulate the lower mind and activate any old thought forms or beliefs that stand in the way of our expanding consciousness. If this is your experience at any time this month simply remember to take a breath, detach and observe what is happening, allow the old energies space to release and focus on thoughts that will allow a new manifestation.

It is becoming increasingly important that we pay attention to the quality of our thoughts, not just in this month where there is a particular emphasis on the realms of mental activity, but with an ongoing focus of attention. The frequencies are rising fast on our planet now and the time lag between thought and manifestation is decreasing proportionately, so it is perhaps good to keep in mind that the increased speed of manifestation applies equally to those thought forms that are clear and aligned as it does to those that are less so. With this in mind we have decided to use this month’s essence suggestions to highlight some combinations that will provide support around this important issue.

Firstly for those who feel a need to clear away the debris of old thought forms and beliefs we suggest a Mental Body essence. This is a powerful combination of essences that will not only clear away old thoughts and beliefs that are conscious, but will dig deep into those unconscious beliefs that you hardly know are there, yet nonetheless influence your reality.

Many people go into a state of mental confusion when faced with new choices or the possibility of a new direction in life. This is particularly relevant now as there are many new possibilities available to us but they can only be perceived from the expanded perspective of the higher mind. This means that we must cultivate the art of allowing inspiration to flow from the higher mind into the concrete lower mind. The uncomfortable state of confusion that we can sometimes experience arises when we close off this flow, often through fear, and end up not able to ‘see the wood for the trees’ endlessly circulating a problem or issue through the lower mind. As Einstein sagely reminded us, the solution to our problems is always found at a higher level than the problems themselves. Clarity and inspiration is what is required to clear away the fog of the lower mind so that we can see clearly. Anyone who resonates with this scenario this month will find either Clarity – releasing confusion or the Clarity and Perspective Spray – clearing confusion, extremely helpful.

Other vibrations that are often stimulated by the fiery energies of Aries are those of impatience and frustration. These energies can particularly arise when we have registered the impulse to action that Aries brings to the fore but for some reason do not feel able to fully initiate a response. This is likely to be particularly strongly felt in those whose personality makeup includes these vibrations at a core level. Another way that these two vibrations can manifest when the influence of Aries is particularly strong is as a tendency to take sudden and impulsive action that is not always clearly thought through. With so much change and transformation now taking place in the blueprint for life on our planet we are increasingly feeling the effect that this is having on our own energetic systems. Everything must readjust to allow the changes to reflect through every level of existence. At a higher level, where our energy bodies are more flexible and responsive this happens relatively easily, however at the denser levels of the mental, emotional, etheric and physical bodies it is a more challenging proposition because it takes longer for adjustments to be integrated. The effects of this process of change are currently particularly impacting the etheric body so it is important that we remember to nurture and support this aspect of ourselves as much as possible.

The etheric body is part of our subtle energy system, a vibrating web of energy that forms the dynamic blueprint for our physical body. Sometimes called the vital body it has a very important part to play in the creation of physical wellbeing since our vital life force energy flows in through the force fields of the etheric body for use in the denser physical body. With so much clearing and readjustment taking place at all levels right now our etheric bodies are having to work extra hard to keep up with the flow of change. Why Is It Important To Be Grounded?

A good strong connection with the earth – or good grounding – is an important part of fulfilling our divine potential and functioning fully in the every day world. From this solid foundation we are able to grow and expand our abilities and also to connect more fully with the higher aspects of ourselves.

Becoming More Grounded

If you find yourself easily ‘spacing out’ and becoming ungrounded or you find it difficult to stay focused, it is often a good indication that there are some underlying issues and patterns that need working with; many of us carry patterns from this and previous lives that make being fully grounded feel a painful or difficult prospect, inspite of our best intentions! March and the Energies of Pisces

The sense of being part of a major transformation in progress was very tangible during February. Many people have reported feeling rather disorientated and unexpectedly at a loss as to how to move forward in their lives, while others have found themselves caught up in a process of sudden and abrupt change. Underlying it all is a sense of waiting for the next wave of energy to carry us forward. That wave of energy will arrive in full force as the sun moves into Aries at the spring equinox on March 20th. In the meantime we have a grand opportunity to review what is complete, clear out the old and strengthen our foundations ready to move forward.

The End of the Zodiacal Year

The prevailing planetary influence during the greater part of March flows in from the constellation of Pisces represented astrologically by the glyph of the two fish connected together by a thread, yet apparently swimming in different directions. Pisces is the last sign in the zodiacal year and its influence tends to stimulate a clearing and releasing process of everything that is old, unfinished and incomplete prior to the beginning of the new zodiacal cycle, which will be triggered by the movement of the sun into Aries later in the month. This cleansing process is particularly important this year as there is now much greater potential for ‘new beginnings’ than ever before. This of course means that there is also a greater potential for deep cleansing and release of anything and everything that does not support that new beginning. So this is a month in which we may well find ourselves needing to review old unconscious beliefs and in particular to review those things that we have taken for granted as being just a part of life in a body or to out it another way, to review our illusions.

Pisces energy particularly affects the physical body so you might also find yourself plunged into unexpected physical cleansing this month. Certainly amongst the people we know there are many experiencing this in various forms, with accidents or a re-emergence of past physical issues a common experience. If this happens to be your experience remember to look for the deeper cause that always lies behind the physical effect. This way you will be able to take full advantage of the opportunity for transformation that you have offered to yourself.

Releasing Illusion

In its highest form the watery influence of Piscean energy stimulates the fusion of the higher and lower self ultimately bringing about the end of the illusion of separation. This energy has been very influential on our planet over the last two thousand years, a period of time in which we have fully explored the illusion of separation from all angles and standpoints in our search for wholeness. As a result the illusion of separation has become deeply embedded in the fabric of life and also well established in our personal and collective data banks. For the great majority of us it has become something we unconsciously take for granted as part of experiencing life in a physical body. Even though we might know mentally that this is not true, at an unconscious level the illusion has persisted, colouring our experience of life and sponsoring limitation. However with the change in the patterning for life on our planet that took place at the end of last year this illusion no longer has any foundations to keep it in place, so as we swim in the watery energies of Pisces this month we can expect this old illusion, in all its many forms, to come more fully into our awareness for review and release. While this might not feel entirely comfortable in the moment, remember to celebrate, we have waited for this moment of release for a very long time and all is well.

March is the last month in the zodiacal year and one in which we particularly feel the influence of the inflow of energies from the constellation of Pisces. Possibly the most common of these issues is difficulty with self worth. Without conscious recall of our intrinsic value as part of the Whole the story has grown within us that we are somehow ‘not good enough’. As we start to clear the illusion of separation this ‘story’ begins to loom large in our awareness preventing us from moving forward. This could well be an issue that affects many this month so if this is your experience try either Feeling Worthy (transforming unworthiness) or Self Worth to promote a speedy release of these uncomfortable feelings. Judgement and lack of forgiveness are both issues that often go hand in hand with this issue of self-value so here are a few suggestions to help with these issues. Inner Freedom (releasing judgement) is a great combination to help release you from the restricting limitation of judgment, while Forgiveness (transforming guilt) will help to banish any feelings of guilt or lack of forgiveness. Consider either Self Acceptance (restoring unconditionality) or Thankfulness (developing gratitude) to follow on from any of these combinations to help you continue to expand your awareness of yourself as the multidimensional being of light that you are.

It goes without saying that an open heart is crucial if we are to overcome the illusion of separation since it is within the heart that we connect with the truth of who we really are. However, many of us have closed off our heart chakras in an attempt to avoid feeling the pain related to many incarnations spent in the illusion of separation. As we finally end this illusion we may well find ourselves needing to release old emotional pain as well as feelings of loneliness and isolation in order to open the heart fully once more. One of our favourite essences to help promote a quick clearance of old heart issues is Fuchsia from the Karmic Essences. We find this will very quickly shift old issues that are on the surface ready for release. Once these are cleared either a Heart Chakra, Unconditional Love or Open to Receive (creating abundance) would be very helpful to work with any deeper more embedded heart issues.

The energetic flow that we now live within is slowly beginning to realign our energetic systems and re orientate us towards greater spiritual awareness. As it does so the spiritual centres within our energy fields that we have not used fully up to now are beginning to open and become more functional. One of these is the higher heart chakra. When fully functional this centre acts as an inner sanctum from which we can draw upon our higher truth and also know our connection to All That Is. Found within the higher heart are the all important spiritual vibrations of unconditional love and compassion, together with the wisdom and multidimensional perspective of our higher self.

Faced as we are right now with the task of bringing ourselves more fully into alignment with our true self, developing the stability of the higher heart centre is becoming increasingly important. As our old patterns and habits of behaviour continue to unravel, we will increasingly need to draw upon the resources of this centre to help us remember who we are and also how to reinvent ourselves.

One particular vibration that tends to block the higher heart centre from functioning fully is lack of forgiveness. Unconditionality and lack of forgiveness are definitely incompatible vibrations yet many of us still try to maintain an uncomfortable mix of both. In this scenario we may be fully prepared to be unconditional towards others, but decidedly less forgiving when it comes to ourselves, or perhaps there is an old, almost forgotten issue with someone from the past that we have not been able to fully forgive and move on from. It is issues such as these that will make it difficult for us to live consistently within the vibration of the higher heart, so with this in mind we have decided to focus the essence review this month on our Higher Heart Chakra combination.
