Dear Friends,

Wow! A month ago, when we put our request into the universe for a warm sunny July to help us make some mother tinctures, we were not in any way expecting the intensity of heat or the lack of rain that has been the case over the last few weeks.

We have certainly been able to make some lovely mother tinctures in the sunshine, for which we are most grateful, however the challenge has been to get to everything before the extreme heat and drought conditions spoiled it. In more normal conditions plants like Rock Rose, Clematis & Centaury flower over quite a long period in the summer, but this year there has really only been a very small window of opportunity to make these due to the extreme heat and lack of water.

Our garden is now looking more like it does approaching autumn at the end of a long hot summer, rather than the norm for the beginning of August. Our request to the universe this month is for some lovely nourishing rain for the land, plants, and wild creatures.

The Energies of August

The energies of August are dominated by the ongoing effects of the meeting between Uranus, Mars and the north node of the moon in the sign of Taurus. These energies were building over the second part of July and are now at their full force.

Without doubt this is unsettling, intense, volatile, and unpredictable energy which does not feel in the least comfortable. It is well over 2000 years since Uranus and the north node met in Taurus, so this is our first taste of this particular blend of disruptive, change orientated energy in this lifetime.

The North Node represents our direction of travel, the future, where we are going both individually and collectively. Uranus brings in higher vision, new ideas and change, so this conjunction represents a strong signal to us that our collective destiny is about to change. We are being requested to review our personal and collective values and to evolve into a more awakened, authentic version of ourselves.

It is helpful to keep in mind that although these energies could well be uncomfortable, agitating, and disruptive they are simply helping us to move forward in the direction that we have collectively chosen at soul level, and we know exactly how to deal with them.

Just do your best to ride the flow by staying grounded and connected to your heart, otherwise the tendency might be to go into defence mode and end up resisting the very changes that are important for our future, individually and collectively. Remember that we have to allow anything that is not fit for purpose in the new energies to fall away so that something new can take its place.

Be especially mindful this month of the need to keep your personal vibrational frequency as high as possible so that you always have access to your higher truth and the expanded perspective of your soul. On an everyday level we will all face challenges of some kind or another in these energies, but by staying positive, centred, and connected we will always be able to see the way forward.

There are currently many people in the world who do not consciously understand this, but the energies will be pushing on them to change just as much as on those who are more aware, so do keep an eye out for anyone in need of a little extra help this month.

Lions Gate Portal 8-8

Between July 27th and August 12th each year the Earth comes into alignment with the Galactic Core, the Sun, and the rising star Sirius, creating a portal or stargate known as the Lions Gate.

While this portal is open, we receive a download of high frequency light containing the codes we need to take us up the spiral of spiritual evolution over the coming 12 months. This light flows through the Lions Gate, which is open to its fullest on August 8th and into the earth grid points of the Sphinx and the Great Pyramid of Giza.

This highly transformational energy also flows through each one of us, so do take some time out to connect, absorb, integrate, and ground what is being offered. It will greatly assist you in transforming anything that comes to the fore for transformation this month.

Full Moon in Aquarius

The full moon this month is on August 11th/12th depending upon where you are in the world. In the UK it will be exact at 2.35am on August 12th.

This will be another supermoon as the moon is still very close to the Earth at this time. There are six planets in fixed signs over the full moon period which will not make this a particularly fun energy to negotiate, given everything else that is already influencing the energetics this month.

Clashing opinions, stubbornly held beliefs, and entrenched viewpoints are all likely to be illuminated in this energy flow, as are control issues and the consequent desire for greater freedom.

This is great energy for helping us to see anywhere that we are a bit stuck in our thinking or are resisting change that we know is needed. Do your best to stay in your heart and pay attention to anything that comes into awareness for you over this period without getting caught up in any old ‘stories’. Remember that kindness and acceptance of all aspects of yourself is the quickest way to release and move on.

The Energies of Leo

All the planetary activities this month are set against the backdrop of inflowing energies from the constellation of Leo. The fiery, powerful energies of Leo are associated with the Sun and depicted in the western astrological zodiac by the sign of the Lion.

It is significant that Leo is the only sign in the zodiac to have the same planetary ruler at all three levels of astrological interpretation, so whether we look from a personality, soul or monadic perspective the Sun is always the ruler of Leo.

This unique relationship with the sun at the heart of our universe is an indication of just how powerfully transformational the energies of Leo can be.

The liberating, universal principles of Love and Freedom flow through the constellation of Leo, energies that particularly stimulate the alignment of the heart with the soul and illuminate the need for the right use of power and the will to create that which can serve the common good.

Getting Comfortable with Change

The energies this month clearly have a very strong focus on helping us to change anything that is no longer for our highest good. As positive as this undoubtedly is, making change is something that many of us find uncomfortable, especially when it involves unexpected, radical shifts in direction that were completely unanticipated.

Uranus conjunct the north node could well bring us some of these kinds of experiences both individually and collectively over the next little while. In these circumstances it can be hard to recognise immediately that we are just being redirected by our soul and that the old pathway is closing because there is a new and better one opening up.

Staying present, calm, and connected to our hearts will help us to negotiate change of this kind in the best way that we can. You could see change of this sort, as a timeline shift where we have simply finished with a particular timeline and are now being redirected onto a new one. This is exciting but could feel like a bit of a roller coaster ride so be prepared to hang on and go with the flow.

Listen to Yourself

Of course, the request from the Universe for us to make change will not always present itself in such a radical, extreme form. Often it is much more subtle and presents itself as an inner knowing, a feeling of being stuck in some area of life, recognition of repeating patterns, restlessness, relationship issues, unusual dreams etc.

Usually these are things that we have known about for some time but just haven’t seen quite how to make the changes needed. The energies this month are not subtle in their approach and will actively seek to illuminate any issues that we are holding on to that now need an upgrade.

To avoid feeling uncomfortably pushed by the energies this month it would be helpful to make some time to sit down with yourself and review anything that you know needs to change or perhaps just feels complete in your life.

Maybe this is a habit or belief pattern that prevents you from fully taking responsibility for yourself and stepping into your own power. Maybe there is something that you have always wanted to do but have a list of excuses as to why it won’t work if you try it. Maybe it is just an old and unrecognised way of looking at the world, or a less than positive emotional response to a life situation that is holding you back.

Vibrational Shift

Unconscious belief patterns will be at the root of anything that we are finding difficult to change. By their very nature these are largely unrecognised and often inherited from our birth family and/or from past life experiences. All of these come from the third dimensional reality ‘box’ which is now being upgraded.

The energies this month are requesting us to look outside of this box and to recognise that much greater opportunity is available to us in the 5th dimensional reality ‘box’ if we choose to align with it. This kind of change requires a shift in vibrational frequency and will come from the heart rather than the head.

Loving acceptance is key here as we cannot change anything that we do not first take ownership of. Just stay grounded, aware, connected, and centred in your heart where you will be able to see clearly where any new choices need to be made.
