Summer in our part of the UK has so far been a rather muted affair with not quite enough sunshine to make it feel like it is really summer!

Traditionally July is the hottest month of the year in the northern hemisphere, although in recent years this has not always been the case. The weather patterns, rather like everything else, seem rather unpredictable at the moment so let’s hope that this year the month of July brings us some warm sunny weather to enjoy.

Currently we have quite a few mother tinctures waiting to be made when the sun does come out, so we are currently sending out our request for a sunny July to the universe. Hope you all get some sunshine this month as well as time to enjoy it.

The Energies of July

The cosmic line up for July makes it one of the more influential and important months of the year energetically. There are many opportunities held within this energy flow that have the potential to expand our horizons, set us free and take us further up the evolutionary spiral.

However, we need to be very awake and aware in order to use it wisely. The energies this month will run ‘hot’ in many ways, and we are likely to experience them as being turbulent, disruptive, unstable, and very eventful.

There are threads in the energetic picture that could spark extreme, hot headed behaviour and major issues around power and control.

Other threads will be prompting us to look within at any wounded parts of ourselves that still need some loving attention to heal. Unresolved issues in relationships could also come into focus in this energy flow so having some quality communication time with those close to you this month could be quite important.

If this all sounds a bit uncomfortable and possibly even a little scary just take a moment to breath and recognise that the energetics have a clear purpose and that is to help us evolve and grow. Also, it is always up to us how we use the energetic opportunities presented to us each month.

If we can go with the flow and look to the bigger perspective everything will be fine, even if we have to pass through a bit of turbulence on the way. It is when we resist the flow or get too tied up in the drama of what is happening around us that everything becomes bogged down and difficult.

Uplifting Energies from the Sirius Gateway

The Sun conjuncts the star Sirius at 14 degrees of Cancer every year between July 3 and 7th which activates the opening of a gateway for an expanded energetic exchange between Sirius and the Earth.

Sirius has long been considered to be Earth’s spiritual sun and during this period in July when the gateway is open, we receive a welcome flow of high frequency, creative, inspirational energies designed to help us evolve and grow. This flow of energy contains light frequencies, codes, and new patterning for our spiritual advancement.

Do take time out to connect and receive these beautiful frequencies sent in love to top yourself up spiritually. They will help us all to stay centred and empowered as we deal with some of the more turbulent offerings in the energetics this month.

Full Moon in Capricorn

The full moon this month is in Capricorn on July 13th and will be another powerful supermoon event with the Moon at its closest point to the Earth for the whole year. When the full moon is this close to the Earth it exerts pressure on the tectonic plates and also on our emotions and psyche.

Pluto, Uranus, Mercury, and Chiron are all adding their own particular flavours into the mix at this full moon, promising to make it an event of some considerable intensity and importance. Extreme emotions are possible in this energy and feelings could run particularly high when it comes to authority figures and  power & control versus the need for freedom and new ideas.

Full moons tend to turn the spotlight of attention onto issues that have been previously hidden so we may see some interesting and possibly shocking information revealed around this time relating to how those in authority have used their power in ways that are not for the common good.

At an individual level we could find ourselves dealing with a degree of emotional intensity and/or revisiting old wounds from the past that still need healing around the time of this full moon. This is all very positive if you can just step back, allow flow, express what needs to be expressed from as centred a place as you can and try not to lose sight of your higher perspective for any longer than you can manage.

Remember that we are in the midst of birthing a new reality and none of these old issues have a place within it, so we are being assisted to release and move on.

Uranus, Mars & North Node conjunct in Taurus

As the second half of July unfolds, we will increasingly feel the building energies of the Uranus, Mars, North Node conjunction in Taurus that will be exact on July 31st in the UK. This will be an intense meeting energetically and will mark an important watershed moment for humanity as a collective.

Uranus only meets with the Moon’s north node once every 15 years or so. This time the meeting takes place in Taurus and so will be flavoured by Taurean themes. Extreme Earth events, changes in financial systems, new innovative ideas, shortages of resources and calls for greater freedom are a few of the things that may suddenly become more visible in this energy.

This not a one-day event, rather the things that it triggers off will set a train of events in process that will influence our collective destiny over the next 15 years. The North Node represents our direction of travel, the future, where we are going both individually and collectively. If you are familiar with your own astrological chart look at where Taurus is in your chart to see which area of your life might be most influenced by this conjunction.

Mars and Uranus are both speedy, action orientated planets and Uranus in particular tends to bring unexpected, sudden change in its wake, so we could see things unfold very quickly in ways that we had possibly not anticipated around this time. Keep in mind that while this might be quite a volatile, chaotic period, Uranus only brings forward those things, events, people etc that will ultimately serve our highest purpose, collectively and individually.

The Influence of Cancer

All the other planetary activity this month is set against the backdrop of the inflowing energies from the constellation of Cancer, represented in western astrology by the sign of the crab. The watery, intuitive, nurturing energies of Cancer bring an emphasis to those areas of life that relate to 'home' and 'family' and as always, their influence will be multi-layered. 

At an everyday level, we might find our attention taken to the home we live in and the family that we are connected to through birth, marriage etc. At another level, this energy could bring a particularly sharp focus to the obvious need for us to take greater responsibility for our planetary ‘home’ and for our collective human ‘family’.

In the Ancient Wisdom Teachings Cancer is considered to be the gateway through which souls originally entered into physical incarnation so each year this energy also brings us the potentiality of ‘rebirth’ or a new starting point, something that is especially emphasised in this month’s energy flow.

Intentional Living

The energies this month are clearly going to be quite challenging to negotiate in the moment, yet they also contain the seeds of some very exciting possibilities for the future.

Living with volatile, chaotic, intense energies is a bit like white water rafting in that to get the best from the experience you need to stay extremely focussed, awake and aware as you take the trip. We have all been honing our skills at doing this over the last few years in particular and this month we are going to get yet another opportunity to practice.

If we look more closely at this, we can see that what we are actually learning is the skill of Intentional Living. The recipe for this requires clear intention, considerable focus, the ability to detach, plenty of discernment and most importantly of all a strong sense of yourself and the vibrational frequencies that you are generating in your own field.

Keep in mind that we are currently deep into the process of setting a new energetic template in place for humanity of the future, that does not contain the old imprints that have been so active in the old third dimensional template. This means that anything built upon old, fear based, polarised patterning has to be reviewed, upgraded, or replaced.

This is a gradual process of increasing our vibrational frequencies and expanding our consciousness until we can see past the illusions and disempowering stories that keep us tied into the old template.

This month’s energetics could give us a big boost with this; however, we will need to be mindful of the responsibilities that intentional living requires of us to get the most from the opportunity presented.

Owning your Power

One of the foundation stones of Intentional Living is the recognition that we are sovereign beings, guided from within by our own connection to Source. As such we choose the vibrational frequencies that we allow into our energy fields with care because we know that the quality of these colours our experience of life and contributes to the creation of our reality. We are mindful that we have a purpose for being here in incarnation at this time and that part of that purpose is to contribute into the weaving of a new reality.

This means that we take full responsibility for ourselves and consciously choose to operate outside of the generally accepted co-dependant patterns of third dimensional living. A strong sense of your own boundaries is important here as well as granting yourself full permission to live from the inside out rather than from the outside in.

Create your own Bubble of Light

The energies this month are likely to test our abilities to stay intentional, focussed, empowered, and aligned with our higher purpose so one way that we help ourselves with this is make sure that we manage our own energy space carefully.

Each day sit quietly with yourself, and check that your grounding chord is connected into your earth star chakra below your feet and then connected into the core of the Earth.

Visualise the central column of light running through the centre of your body, connecting you with your soul and anchored into your earth star. Centre yourself into your heart and begin to breath in light and love allowing it to expand with each out-breath until you have created a large bubble of light around yourself that encompasses all of your energy field.

Gather all of yourself inside this bubble of light and allow anything that is not you to remain on the outside. Consciously fill this space with frequencies that will be supportive for your day, such as calm, peace, awareness, certainty etc.

Once this feels firmly established you will be able to interact with life from within your bubble of positive frequencies and not feel that you are being pushed on so much by the varying frequencies of what is happening around you. This will also provide you with a platform that you can use to flow positive frequencies into the world around you to help others find their point of balance.
