Peace Rose Flower Essence Review

So this month’s Essence review features Peace Rose, one of the sixteen individual rose essences included in our Rose Collection Set.

How the Peace Rose got its name

The story of the Peace Rose began in France in 1935, where the rose breeder Francis Meilland, was in the process of developing some new rose seedlings.

One seedling in particular caught his attention and over the next four years he nurtured and experimented with the potential he could see in this particular rose, which at that time was simply named 3-35-40. 

In 1939 as war engulfed France and with his rose growing business threatened with destruction, he sent some cuttings of his new rose to other rose growers around the world.

One of these cuttings found its way to the US in the diplomatic bag of a departing diplomat. It ended up with Conard-Pyle who planted it in their own trial beds and developed it to a point where it was ready to be released for sale. The launch date was set for April 29th 1945 in California. It was named ‘Peace’ with a simple statement that read; ‘We are persuaded that this greatest new rose of our time should be named for the world’s greatest desire: Peace’.

Coincidentally, April 29th 1945, was the day that Berlin finally fell and a truce was declared in Europe. Each of the 49 delegates to the newly formed United Nations were presented with a bloom of ‘Peace’ by the secretary of the American Rose Society, when Germany signed the official documents of surrender on May 8th 1945.

The Peace Rose was also declared the winner of the All American Award for Roses on the same day that the war in Japan ended.

An Extraordinary Rose

Even without knowing about the history of its origins you only have to linger around a Peace Rose bush to feel the vibrancy and power of the vibration that it holds.

Large creamy-yellow heads flushed with pink on the edges of the petals grow abundantly and seem to connect directly with your heart chakra. It is a visual reminder to us of the power of love and of the constant need to nurture the flame of love within our own heart centre, no matter what might be happening in the world around us.

Peace Rose Flower Essence

The Peace Rose Essence is one of our most popular essences. Its powerful vibration provides wonderful support for anyone with a troubled heart. In our turbulent world there can seem to be many reasons why it is not safe to live fully from the heart. Yet unless we can each learn to do this there will never be an end to conflict and its inevitable consequence of fear, pain and suffering.

Use the Peace Rose essence to help you transmute any vibrations of fear that have become stuck in your heart chakra and which now make it difficult for you to embody the vibration of peace. As these old vibrations are dissolved your heart chakra will be able to open more fully and like the beautiful blooms of the Peace Rose, will radiate the vibrations of peace into the world.

How to Use

Peace Rose essence works extremely well taken as a single essence on its own. An effective dose for most adults is four drops on the tongue 4 x a day, straight from the stock bottle. For best results take consistently for a period of two to four weeks.

It is also very effective mixed into a stock combination with other deep acting Flower, Gem or Crystal essences if you want to focus on an issue in more depth.
