Summer in our part of the UK has so far been a rather gentle affair with nothing like the prolonged heatwave of last year obviously on the horizon. Looking back, it is interesting to note that for the last two years we have had some very hot spells of weather around this time of the year. Many of the plants in our garden are obviously grateful for the more normal UK summer weather and are rewarding us with a wonderful abundance of long-lasting flowers. We just need some sunshine so that we can make mother tinctures from them now!

The Energies of July
You have probably already noticed that the energies of July are coloured by a distinct feeling of steely intenseness, perhaps even heaviness.
This is not without reason because the planetary configurations and alignments that the cosmos contains right now, will probably mean that we look back on the month of July as having been one of the most energetically intense months of 2019.
However, before you decide to plan a month of ‘duvet days’ recognise that this energetic set up is ripe with positive opportunities for personal and collective transformation. It contains a whole series of important ‘choice points’ that if we so desire, can be used to release, reset and realign ourselves more fully with the truth and integrity of our authentic self.
Following through from the June solstice there is a continuing flow of high frequency love and light coming into the planet. These beautiful unconditionally loving energies are intent upon expanding consciousness and helping us to reconnect with the multi-dimensional aspects of ourselves that we have previously been unable to bring into incarnation.
You could think of this as a process of rewiring and reactivation of previously dormant connections that is having the effect of spiralling us upwards in consciousness.
July Eclipses
The most potent force in the July energies has to be the two eclipses that we have this month.
Eclipses are a very powerful events that have an enormous impact on the Earth, our environment and also our nervous systems. They often bring challenging moments of change and reset that are of pivotal importance to our future development.
Both the July eclipses will illuminate some powerful long-term planetary alignments that will affect us well into next year, particularly the Saturn, Pluto conjunction now gathering force in Capricorn.
With this in mind it is worth noting anything that might come particularly into focus for you during this current eclipse season because it could be a recurring theme if not dealt with positively.
The new moon solar eclipse on July 2nd, was only visible over some parts of the southern hemisphere but it was felt energetically by all of us. It was an opportunity to sow new seeds and intentions for your future, so if you look back, you may well find that you made some important choices for yourself around this time and possibly are continuing to do so as we pass through this two week window of time between eclipses.
The full moon partial lunar eclipse on July 16th/ 17th will be visible across the UK, weather permitting. The moon will be conjunct Pluto at this time and opposite the sun in Cancer. This promotes a powerfully transformational energy that will stimulate release and the opportunity to make permanent changes that will take us forward without looking back.
Take time to process anything that comes up for you around this time, allow any emotional disturbance time to settle and then feel deep within yourself for your way forward. We are being supported all the way, just let go and move on.

The Influence of Cancer
All the other planetary activity this month is set against the backdrop of the inflowing energies from the constellation of Cancer, represented in western astrology by the sign of the crab.
The watery, intuitive, nurturing energies of Cancer bring an emphasis to those areas of life that relate to 'home' and 'family' and as always, their influence will be multi-layered. At an everyday level, we might find our attention taken to the home we live in and the family that we are connected to through birth, marriage etc.
At another level, this energy might bring a focus to the need for us to take greater responsibility for the Earth, our planetary ‘home’ and for our connection to the collective human ‘family’.
In the Ancient Wisdom Teachings Cancer is considered to be the gateway through which souls originally entered into physical incarnation so each year this energy also brings us the potentiality of ‘rebirth’ or a new starting point, something that is a particular focus at this time in 2019.

The energetic focus, particularly around the second eclipse on July 16th/ 17th will be unequivocal in its demand for deep transformational change of anything that is out of alignment with our soul path.
We might well experience this as a compelling force that tramples over resistance in its urgency to help us move forward. This could feel temporarily challenging, perhaps even destabilising or disruptive in the moment, so it is important that we remember to keep following the flow. Our higher self knows the plan and will be supporting and guiding us every step of the way.
The old-style structures of life are now being challenged on all fronts. Everything of dubious intent that is out of alignment with truth and integrity is being revealed in increasingly obvious ways. This applies as much to our own belief patterns and emotional responses as it does to unethical corporate organisations.
You will already know inside yourself what needs to shift to allow you to move forward, because it will have been coming more and more into your awareness over the last little while.
Use the focus of this exceptionally transformational upcoming opportunity to finally release and let go and then don’t look back. This could be as simple as a commitment to yourself to stand fully in your truth, light and empowerment. It might be that you can see a small part of yourself that still believes that it is a victim and feels resentful. Just own that part of yourself with love and choose to release and move on.
If you should find yourself embroiled in an emotional drama of some kind do take a moment to step back and assess what is being triggered off for you. In retrospect these uncomfortable moments can be like gold dust because they can offer great insight into hidden parts of ourselves that need realignment.
Above all be kind to yourself and remember that you are a powerful being with many choices and opportunities opening up for you.
Essence Suggestions for July
In this month’s Essence Suggestions, we are going to look at essence combinations that deal with some of the issues that this month’s intense energetic focus is most likely to bring to the fore for realignment.
Balanced Masculine Power
Firstly, let’s look at some issues that are often highlighted in the energetic environment we have right now; these include power struggles, unhealthy competitiveness and the need to be right. All these issues stem from a need to balance the masculine polarity within us, as well as a need to open the heart chakra more fully.
If you find yourself touching into any of these issues this month then either Male Essence; strengthening masculine, or Father would be very supportive to help you rebalance. Consider following on with either a Heart Chakra or Inner Wisdom; connecting heart & mind combination. Very often, underneath an out of proportion need to be right is a deep lack of self-value, expressing as a need to prove we are good enough. Family Issues
With the energetic focus so firmly fixed on releasing the past together with the added impetus of the Sun in Cancer it is highly probable that some of us may find ourselves revisiting old family issues this month. This should not surprise any of us since inherited family imprints make up a large part of our unconscious patterning. Recognise that these imprints were soul choices that have served you in one way or another up to now.
However, if there are still unresolved issues around family and family relationships then now would be an excellent time to release and move on. Healing Family; resolving family issues, Healing Relationships; restoring intimacy & trust, and Letting Go; dissolving dependency are some of the most obvious essence combinations to help here.
Our family legacy can also determine our unconscious emotional response to life. This can sometimes be more difficult to spot because it has become so familiar as an undercurrent vibration. The energies we have this month could also bring some of these less obvious issues to the fore for us to review and re-evaluate.
With this in mind here are some commonly held vibrations and corresponding essence combinations for review.
